The most common type of Cotton used is Short-Staple Cotton. The longer fibres of the Long-Staple Cotton make a significant difference in the overall quality.

Combed Cotton comes from the same plant, but it undergoes an additional step of treating the cotton fibres before they are spun into yarn, making it softer, stronger and smoother than regular Cotton.

Compared to Short-Staple Cotton, the Long-Staple Cotton fabric is stronger, longer-lasting, softer, friendlier to the skin, more durable and keeps in shape better.

Fabrics made of Long-Staple Cotton fray less, pill less, wrinkle less and even fade less than fabrics made with their Short-Staple counterparts.

Zero Twist Towels are the plushest types of towel available. Many inferior types of fabrics have to be spun multiple times to allow the material to be strong enough to be used. However, with luxury fibres such as bamboo and long-staple cotton, a low twist count can be used. This is because these fibres, as well as being naturally soft, are also naturally strong.

Zero twist towels are made of open loops with no twist which results in a softer and more plush feel. As the woven pile is less dense the towels feel lighter and more comfortable use.

The zero-twist construction allows the fibre to remain “open” which highly increases absorbency without bulk and allows air infiltration, so towels retain a drier feel after use and dry quickly.
