A lovely pair of Louis XV style vintage armchairs. Likely made in the mid-to-late 20th Century, this elegant pair will enhance any interior with bygone French style and elegance, but without having to break the bank for a genuine Louis XV.
Made of solid carved wood, they are near-matching with slightly different proportions and toning to the wood, though have matching carvings and upholstery.
Extremely comfortable, they have large and hugely padded seats upholstered in gold, white and pink floral upholstery to match the backs and arms, finished with metal studded bordering.
Made in the Louis XV style, they have lovely carvings and curves throughout, with cabriole legs and not a straight line in sight.
All in all this is a very charming and elegant pair of Louis XV style armchairs, which will add more than a touch of class to any setting.
We also have a Louis XVI bergere armchair finished in the same upholstery – please see our other listings for details.
Condition report:
These are in fair-to-good condition. Structurally sound, they have minor to-be-expected marks and knocks to the wood and minor marks to the upholstery, with signs of wear to the upholstery on the arms with age and use. Overall they’re a really charming pair and if well looked after they should be just as elegant for decades to come – please see the photos.
